IT companies like TCS,INFY...etc...etc... they know that we dont belong to that field but still they are trying to push us to that area, the reason is obviously very clear that we dont have that much electronics companies in india which can accomodate all the graduates coming from electronics branches. May u be surprised to know the fact that we,the indians are one of the biggest consumers of the electronics goods in the world, if all of these goods start to be manufactured in india then the number of electronics engineers we are producing every year will not be able to fulfill the requirement. And dont know why we indians are so dumb that none of us has yet even tried out to start some company in this field,we are just more than satisfied with buying these things from foriegn companies, knowing that we paying a lot more than the actual manufacturing cost of that product. None of the government in our country yet thought in this direction and we are spending our foriegn currency stock in buying such things from outside. Neither the big industrial houses like Reliance groups or TATA has taken any initiatives in this direction.
In a country like india where around 50% of the population is living under poverty line,
per capita income is one of the least in the world, employment is also not more than 50% ,how we are able to justify the purchase of this much amount of electronics goods from foriegn companies that too on very high prices.
Let me tell u a real world example that a battery of NOKIa cell which is made in china has the manufacturing cost around 5 rupees when it is made in bulk amount and it is sold for rupees 200 or so in our country and a surpring fact is that we are the biggest costomer of these batteries, around 30% of these batteries made in china are exported to india itself and this is around 50 lakh units per year so can u just try to think how much we could have saved if we would have such a plant in our county itself ,including the taxes and all a battery made in india would not have cost more than 50 rupees for the customer so we could have saved around 75,00,00,000 (seventy five crore) rupees of our poor countrymen which they could hav spend on some other things. The list of such examples is end less . This is not the condition in the field of electronics only in almost all the fields we are dependent on foriegn companies which are sucking our blood like anything. Dont u think this is the time to think in this direction. Instead of satisfying ourself with a job in IT companies shouldn't we try to make ourself strong in our core electronics field and try to bring a technology revolution, may it be very small but it will be a starting and every great journey starts with a small step only. I have started to think whether u have started if not then just start now because its never too late to start. If u wish u can join me on www.missiontechnicalindia.webs.com and dont just join it try to contribute in this mission from your own side this website is just a platform where u can share ur views with other techeis and may be our ideas rock the world when they work together...........................
